Bon Iver, Bon Iver

One of the best releases of 2011 is also one of the most polarizing.  Bon Iver (the name of  the band formed by singer-songwriter Justin Vernon) burst onto the scene in 2008 with the debut album called For Emma, Forever Ago, which was a hauntingly beautiful record buy a man who retreated into the woods of Wisconsin to record some music after an illness and a difficult break-up. His latest record, simply titled Bon Iver, has been getting raves…but also has its detractors. Listen and judge for yourself.
