What Am I… Goofy?

I drove up to Grand Rapids on Saturday to see my old friend Kevin Matthews. Kevin and his wife, Debbie, had a family function to go to at 1: 30, and I forgot about them being in the Eastern time zone, so I had to achieve speeds upwards of 100 mph on 80/94 and 96 to get there in time for our meeting. Although I passed several Michigan State Police speed traps, my radar detector never want off. Protected by KevHead Michigan magic, somehow I was never brought to justice. I did benefit from some moron using the dirt turnaround in the median to make a U-turn. That really got the State Trooper’s attention, and I went speeding by. Bad move by that guy. It’s always so cool to see somebody get nailed right after they commit a violation, especially when it gets you off the hook. But enough about me and what I want for Christmas…

I have an early Christmas present for all of you (or do you celebrate Hanukkah?). Kevin Matthews is joining the Steve Dahl Show podcast family. We will upload his 1st “KevCast” at 5 PM  Central Standard Time on Friday, December 2. It is also a day that will live in infamy. Kevin played me about 20 minutes of his 1st show, and I was laughing so hard my eyes were watering. It took all of myself control not to spit coffee all over his studio carpeting. The man is a genius! Jim Shorts, on the other hand, I’m not so sure about, but he’ll be there too.
