Sorry About Everything
Dino Stamatopoulos is a television comedy writer, actor and producer who has worked on Mr. Show, TV Funhouse, Mad TV, The Dana Carvey Show, Late Show with David Letterman and Late Night with Conan O’Brien. He is also the creator of the Adult Swim programs Moral Orel and Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole. Stamatopoulos also played the recurring role of “Star-Burns” on the NBC.
His stop motion animated series Moral Orel premiered on Adult Swim on Christmas 2005 and aired for three seasons, airing its final episode in December 2008. The show began to gain more popularity through reruns, leading to Adult Swim eventually reviving the series. It was announced on May 17, 2012 that a special episode titled “Beforel Orel” will air in September 2012, with the possibility of more new episodes to follow.
In 2010, Stamatopoulos began his stop motion series Mary Shelley’s Frankenhole. The show most recently finished its second season on Adult Swim in March 2012 and was nominated for 6 Annie Awards.
Stamatopoulos appeared in a recurring role as “Star-Burns” on the NBC comedy series Community from Season 1 in 2009 until his character was supposedly killed off in Season 3. He was also a consulting producer and writer on the show and co-wrote the stop motion animation Christmas episode, “Abed’s Uncontrollable Christmas”, which aired on December 9, 2010. It won an Emmy Award for outstanding character animation.
In 2012 Dino has become a regular contributor to The Steve Dahl Show podcast. Dino is happy to be joining the Steve Dahl Network with his show “Sorry About Everything”. Listeners can expect to hear Dino entertain different friends and guests at his studios, Starburn Industries, with drunken antics, crazy non-Hollywood tales and who knows what else. Whatever happens, it’s sure to be a wild ride!
