Mobile Device List

If you intend to enjoy the DahlCast on a Smartphone or other mobile device directly, as opposed to listening on a computer or downloading the shows to your computer and syncing them to a smartphone or MP3 player, this is a list of devices we support directly with our own apps and indirectly via 3rd party Podcast / RSS  players.

Supported Devices

Apple – iPhone / iPad / iPod Touch devices running IOS 4.2 or newer  You can get our FREE App Here or search ‘Steve Dahl’ in the iTunes App store.

Android devices running Android 2.x or newer * You can get our FREE App Here or search ‘Steve Dahl’ in the Market on your device.

*Note, because Android is an ‘open’ platform it’s simply not possible to create an App will work perfectly on all of the different devices that run the Android OS.  IF, you find you’re having trouble using our own App on your particular device, as an alternative we do know that the Podcast App, ‘BeyondPod’ works very well on Android devices and with the DahlCast.

.

Unsupported Devices

Windows Mobile & Blackberry  – We do not offer our own apps for Windows Mobile or Blackberry devices. If you want to listen directly on those devices you’ll need to locate a podcast application that supports ‘http_auth digest’ for usernames and passwords.

NOTE – Most ‘newer’ BlackBerry models can easily play the show by accessing the RSS Feed from their web browsers and clicking on the appropriate MP3 link. The RSS Feed address is: https://spod.dahl.com/rss

ZUNE – Microsoft Zune can be used to listen to the DahlCast, however the outdated ZUNE Marketplace software cannot be used to download the show. If you’d like to use a ZUNE you’ll need to download the MP3 files directly from the RSS Feed at https://spod.dahl.com/rss and then import them to the ZUNE like you would a music file.
